Description

I leaned against the behest board with a sigh. The only reasonable job that had good pay was this one; track down a thieving Gabite and Dieno. I wanted to find them, but how could I? Line up every Gabite and Dieno in this world?

Ugh. I really hate decisions..

"Wssssh-sshh! Wssh-sssh!"

Wait a second. What was that? I turned side to side but there was nothing but space and a dark bush. I could've sworn I heard something...

"WSSssssSSH!"

I shifted my head to my left and a the bush gave a rustle and.. a snicker? I was done. I pulled those leaves right out of the way, and two figures - one tall, one short - knocked me over. I swear the first must've weighted two hundred pounds. I got up, brushed myself up, and my jaw dropped.

Running, cackling away, was a tall, young Gabite and his partner-in-crime, a small Dieno. And they looked just like the ones on the poster!

I ran after them, but so did they. There was a great gap of distance, and I was about to give up. As I looked to either side while I ran, I got weird looks from the townsfolk. I ran as far as my paws could take me, when suddenly - not remembering I even had the move - my legs broke into a flash and I started using Agility.

This, of course, shortened the distance greatly. I couldn't think of a way to get them to stop once I got close enough - I mean, a simple "Stop right there!" Never works.

When I was finally neck and neck with them they didn't notice at first. I took the advantage and used an Electro Ball on the Dieno. It hit him square in the noggin - which I didn't mean to get, but hey, it works.

It was me and Gabite now. I shot Electro Ball after Electro Ball but my aim was off. Suddenly, I noticed the completely obvious brown sack he had over his shoulder. Then, I got an idea.

Hey, as long as I get the stuff I'm fine. Right? Right.

So I shot that baby straight at that bag. It tore open, with the sword, specs and an assortment of other items. I heard Gabite let out a short, "NO!" but when I turned back around he and the Dieno fled.

With a sigh, I took the sword and specs. I just left the other stuff there. Whoever lost it would find it...
